Suns in 2009? - 05-09-2008, 11:59 AM

A lot of people are putting us down but look out. With a new coach, the style should be balanced out and we should be a pretty good defensive team. I'm not to worried. Obviously, D'antoni wasn't working out so we have nothing to lose. Might as well try something different and see what happens, right?

I'm really hoping Amare will become a lot smarter. When he has the chance to do a little stop and shoot, he drives in an picks up a charge. What good does he do when he's on the bench? He only averages 33 minutes a game! Nash plays more then that! ha If he can avoid foul trouble, he'll average over 30 a game. Maybe our new coach will teach him those moves. As for Shaq, he's old. I know... But, not 'fat and old' like a lot of people say. He's actually very healthy and far from fat. He'll be training down in PHX during the off-season. The transition mid-way through the season could not have been easy so expect them to look a lot more comfortable with Shaq. He's doing ok. He has his ups and downs but as long as he's a presence of the court and is going about 1 for 2 from the foul line, it's a positive for the Suns. We don't need him to score 20 a night. 15 or so is all we need with around 9 boards and 2 blocks. And he's been doing that.

So, I think we still have a shot but the window has gotten smaller. We have maybe 2 more years. So we gotta do something now! ha
