a false start is basically like Milan said when you move forward or kinda moving out your stance while a motion you run either towards the QB or you could be a RB or FB who goes in motion out to one of the sidelines...you're allowed to go in motion as long as you behind LOS
basically what seperates a false start from a motion is that the player usually a slot receiver who is behind LOS is allowed to move when the QB tells him to move usually the commmucation between the slot and QB coming by the QB waving his hand or by moving his foot ..a false start is if he not called in a motion and QB callin the cadence and the slot kinda moves out of his stance then he gonna get called for offside cause he wasen't supposed to go in motion... it's all about the communcation between QB and the WRs...
it's not often a slot WR is going in motion when he not supposed to because he screws up what he supposed to do and kinda screw up his assignment..
