Official 2008 AFL discussion thread -

thought we might aswell have a thread for the season. go ahead and talk about the weekly happenings, your teams efforts, players or whatever else you can think of.
i would like to give out a big  at the Eagles, they have crashed so bad this season and its so nice to see, dockers aswell but theyve never really been that great and they didnt really add any players to their roster. it comes down to the Dockers v Demons game this weekend to decide whether the WA teams potentially share the bottom 2 spots or will the demons just suck all season long.

OMG!!!! i cant believe demons actually won. the dockers had such a good lead and just like last week they gave it up.................HAAHAHAHHAHAHAHA
the teams i go for:
AFL-port adelaide, brisbane lions, western bulldogs. but no one really exclusively
NFL-Packers, but i pretty much like following every team
NHL-Anaheim Ducks because of the cartoon. never watch it though
MLB-San Francisco Giants, never watch mlb either
Rugby-Waikato Chiefs, started supporting for them back when it was super12 and still do
Soccer(club)-Juventus because del piero is ony of my fav players aswell as nedved and buffon.
Soccer(Country)-Portugal, figo is my favorite player and have been supporting portugal since Euro2000

I'm a St.Kilda supporter, and by the way they are going this year I don't expect much from them. We are the most overrated team in the league and we really need to show some form, we are either very good or very poor on some days, it's just not good enough. We need consistency throughout and we need to make the most of our scoring opputunities.
I think we should finish in the top 8, specifically 5th but I really am doubting that at the moment unless we can pull our fingers out and show some spirit. We need to win a premiership in this decade, with the players we have now. We have the team to do it, so I'm sure we can and we NEED to do it, otherwise we won't win another premiership for another 40 years.

yes st kilda have been overrated for some time now and yet they havent really done much, theyve always been ok but i always expected them and hawthorn to be top teams by now with all the young players they had but only hawthorn has really stepped up.

im collingwood fan, should of won a biut more games than we have, but halftime, Collingwood Geelong, were smashin em. We're applying so much pressure all round the ground, which is forcing turnovers. Sharrod wellingham has really impressed me. His only in his 3rd game, and already giving ablett a bath:)

i just came home from work and i was shocked to see collingwood making geelong look like the demons. they whooped them easily and this should shake up the rest of the AFL
