The 2009 Mixmaking Season

Yeah. That's really a great idea. But there's one thing i dont get. Like lets say we start the season at august 1st, so there will be like 5 contests for example, so how will you count the winners first of all?

Second thing i want to know, like what if somone missed a contest (with real problem) so he could have less points then a mixmaker who parcipated to all contest, even if he's a better mixer?

I think a good idea would be like rate all the mixes in every contest and then we could make the rankings according to the average score?

Well, the August start is for a number of reasons...

1) I don't want to step on H4L's toes. They help keep the section active with great contests. If I started now, we'd be overlapping, and either my contests or theirs would fail, and it would most likely be my contest.
2) I need to talk to each mixmaking group about whether or not they would be interested in sponsering a contest....or maybe just H4L...that may be an element I include...or it may not be.
3) I made it to follow the NBA season. If we started now, it wouldn't fit. I may however, start it in July. I also wanted the season to coincide with the M2 Awards.

I really like your idea of rating each mix and I will probably look into that. I will need to make a criteria that helps grade each mix (probably like 5.5, 8.5, 9 ect...on a scale of 10). So really good idea and I'll probably use it. Thanks.

Those questions I'm still refining. This is just meant to be a wake up call. It's not meant to explain how everything will run. So I can't answer that at this time. But make sure you are back around May because that's when this starts getting serious. I'll be going into detail on how this will all work.

I think you can try & contact Flur if he is active on any website or maybe throught his youtube. Because he did a great job on the playoffs & its seedings plus he had descriptions as to why they were seeded where & how feels abotu each mixer.
