Description: Again I follow the path of using usual songs in my mixes. But I really feel this song sets the energy, ambition, and strength of Kobe. Yall know I'm not out to make ordinary rap highlight mixes.And after watching the Lakers' impressive championship season I felt compelled to make a career mix of Kobe. Throughout his entire career he had faced adversity, victory, failure, and he is now a 4 time NBA champion. It's hard to fit all his achievements into a 4 minute mix, but you do the best you can.

So relive all the great moments of this, his Career of Destiny.

Wow, Tom10, you've been very impressive the whole M2 Playoffs. Great song choice and clip selection, he should win this one.

Get the **** out!!! This section is for amateurs not professionals. That's what I wanted to tell you after Figment of Imagination. Now this. Your mixes are so clearly beyond what the rest of us are capable of that it's almost unfair. However, if anything, this mix proved that even some of the best can still improve, which you did over Divided Paths, formerly my favorite mix of yours(don't worry though V, it still has a special place in my heart hah). You've become quite talented at making a mix with a story, while only using basketball clips. You illustrate all the lyrics so well it's as if the song didn't exist before you added the visuals, yet you do it in a tactful way. Usually when mixers mix to the lyrics, something ends up looking stupid or out of place. Not here. You managed to weave a web and interconnect everything so that it was all symbolic and sensical. I particularly enjoyed the progression you showed. The airball, the miss AND then the make, followed by the perfect gamewinner he had against the Suns.

The audio commentary was immaculate. There's nothing else more that needs to be said in that area. And you may have been joking when you said it, but it's the truth, this is what Alborz's mix needed. It's what makes the championship sequence such a payoff.

And since you insist on making perfect mixes, you force me to nitpick. So that's what i'll do. What's with the lame title? In a "career" of thoughtful titles like Figment of Imagination, Scarlet Masks, Redream and Divided Paths...Career of Destiny is the oddball. I mean...maybe just "Fate" would have sufficed. I'll file this under the "great mix awful title" section of my mix collection. It can join K24L's Battle for the Next Championship. In other words, it's in good company. Granted...it's not quite up to "Sexy Phenom II" status...but you were one adjective away man ;)

The other thing. I loved the whole "projector" effect you got going on. And it seemed that you were heading toward an effect that would have the film run out. Or at least burn away or something. Given the fact that i've wasted some of the best years of my life in a dark room watching those piece of ****s run, I've always gotten a little bit of enjoyment out of watching the roll of film end. But no projectoresque ending had me a bit perplexed.

Like I said though, all of the above is quite irrelevant. You made a fantastic mix, bottom line. Out of all the Kobe mixes ever made, this is one of the best i've seen...and considering all the Kobe mixes that is saying something...even if it's coming from me lol. Nitelite gives your mix two thumbs up!

Tom...you're quite the machine. You make nearly all your mixes highlight style...but they are always damn good. This round is clearly made up of the best of the M2 Playoff Contestants. It's makes me happy to see both contestants really bring it in their own particular styles. That's when something special happens. T, you made an amazing mix in your own right. You have the quintessential playoff mix. It shows the pressure, emotion, and anxiety, but most of all it depicts the failure that all but one team is faced with. It's a job well done man, all I can tell you is thanks.

What I really think this round comes down to is your particular taste in mixes. If you favor the more generic highlight mixes that get your adrenaline pumping, then It's All Over is obviously your choice. If you prefer story-driven mixes that are thoughtful and reflective, then Career of Destiny should get your vote. That would mean Venom gets my vote here.

I was stumped on this one. I wasn't very impressed at all with either mix. Nothing out of the ordinary. So it came down to a coin flip and venom won my vote. Sorry tom10.

My vote goes to Tom10. I don't like mixes about superstars even those with storylines (there's too many of them online). I think that Tom's one is very entertaining but I would like to see something different from him, not only highlights.

Kobe fan or non-Kobe fan you have to respect venom's mix. It was a excellent look back through kobe's career highlights and lowlights. Fittingly in the end he comes through and raises the trophy as NBA champion. The song fit the mix perfectly and the editing was excellent. This mix was top notch.

Tom I liked the idea and you executed it pretty well. But I didn't enjoy your mix as much as Venom's.

hard to pick a mix out of this two...venoms mix was technically excellent as always, had a great storyline and was about one of my favourite players but more of highlight reel.

tom10's really got me excited was also perfectly executed and although i'm not a big fan of this the type of music it fit the mix very well.
