Official H4L/NBAD Mix Entries -Season Opener Contest 2009/2010- - MixMakers.net

Introduction: Hey guys, welcome to the Mixes Thread of the H4L/NBAD Season Opener Contest for the 2009/2010 season. This season is going to be one of the best in years, and what better way to start it all off by having a Mixing Competition. I want to say Thank you on behalf of H4L and NBAD to all the people who contributed to this competition. I want to give a person thanks to all our contestants. Unfortunately, a lot of people had technical difficulties. Out of the 43 people that signed up, 25 turned in a mix. It's not a bad number, we will still see some exciting mixes from these mixers. Also, here are a couple of things that I want to re-iterate from the last thread:

Prizes:

1st place: $50 through paypal, 1 Month Subscription on Download Sites(Sendspace, Rapidshare, or Megaupload, etc.), and an offer to be on the NBAD team.

2nd place: $20 through paypal, 1 Month Subscription on Download Sites(Sendspace, Rapidshare, or Megaupload, etc.), and an offer to be on the NBAD team.

3rd place: $10 and an offer to be on the NBAD team OR 1 month Subscription on Download Sites(Sendspace, Rapidshare, or Megaupload, etc.) and an offer to be on the NBAD team.

There will also be M2 Points up for grab, how much is uncertain.

Judging:

Judging will work how recent contests have gone. There will be a panel of judges that view each mix, and rank their top 3. Each of the top 3 earn points, and the mix with the most points wins. There will be a public poll, which will count as if it is one judge.

Beyond Comparison

Description: Beyond Comparison, NBA season mix for H4L / NBAD contest October 26th. We never will really know who the best player is. Michael will be Michael and as Kobe said "just let me be me". Beyond comparison shows LeBron's and Kobe’s will to be the best and determination as players and their bone chilling emotion they show. BTW, the poster has MJ in it because originally MJ was a main part in my mix; I guess it still works though because he is a comparison in here still.

NBA Season Preview: A New Chance

Description: The 2010 NBA season approaches rapidly in a few days teams/players will be able to show off what progress they have made in the offseason/preseason. Every NBA team has a new chance to show all the other teams of what their made of. It doesnt matter if the team won 15 games or 66 games last season, its a clean slate, every team is on a fair battlefield and only the strongest will survive and only the best most competent team will win. The past is the past, each team can't expect to do the same as last season, teams have gotten stronger, some have bolstered their rosters, such as the Lakers, Magic, Celtics, Spurs and Cavaliers whilst others have kept their core intact to make another playoff by letting their new post season, off season and pre-season efforts and experience pay off for example the Nuggets, Miami, Hawks. A new chance, thats all they need. My mix is a small highlight reel which shows what the indiviual players NBA are made of.

Dwyane Wade- Revenge Mission

Description: This is my video for the H4L/NBAD Season Opener Contest. I decided to take a different style for my vid & imo it came out great. The first couple of minuets is Dwayne Wade's love letter to basketball. I chose to not edit it & to leave it in it's original state because it flows perfectly with the mix. The title revenge mission comes from Dwayne looking to return to glory. He blasted off with his career quickly & had a horrible injury & year that caused him to take two steps backward. But the world got to see him slowly return to glory during the 2008 Olympics & even more with his MVP like 2009 season. The music for my mix is from 300 (the movie) & in there you can kind of see a short bit of inspiration from the film with the quick zoom in zoom out slow motion fast motion fight scenes.
