So why dont we have a section for NHL?

Were missing one of the Major pro leagues in Canada/USA. Why's that? The current 2009 playoffs is as exciting as ever.

I think we should add it, maybe not now... Im thinking next season?

Ahh...idk. I mean, I know it has a pretty large foreign following...more so than baseball (on this site). But...I think you should maybe get a group of members together that will pledge their committment to keeping the section from being dead.

During the playoffs, a lot more people seem interested in the sport, but know nothing about it. If we had a section, I'm sure it would help introduce a lot more people to hockey and teach them about it. As it stands right now, we'll just have the random threads that pop up every now and then (CBF posting in those very often though). I live and breathe hockey, so I definitely support having a section. Atleast make it a sub-section in "Other Sports" like NCAA Basketball is.

EDIT: Check the Other Sports section. I'll make a new NHL thread for now and sticky it.

I agree, there should be a NHL section... A sports forum just isn't complete without hockey - 1 of 5 pro sports in North America .

I totally didn't see this the 2-3 weeks ago it was posted.

I do believe it would be best to start out with a subforum in the other sports one and if we continue to have more activity we can see if we would be allowed to possibly have ours turned into a main forum possibly replacing MLB (which has little to no activity).

Though I am a bit new to the sport (Been a fan since Sid was drafted) I still think me, JUICE, omfg, and a few others can keep it active right now and if we do get the subforum I know I'll start recruiting a bit at other sites to help the activity.

It doesn't warrant it's own section but it could possibly start off as a subforum. I'm all for the idea, I don't know anything at all about NHL but I know that it's kind of popular around here so the subforum would be good to start off with.

MLB doesn't exactly warrant it's own section either. It's not even as active as the Anything Sports section.

I guarantee LK has already seen this thread. I can also guarantee we won't get a section for it (maybe not even a sub-forum). There's a lot of discussion going on about that kind of thing right now and I'm in no position to discuss it with you guys.

Huge fan of the NHL but an NHL section wouldn't survive on M2.
