Since I see lots of request like "I need a YouTube video!!" etc., I think this thread would help you.
First, you have to use Mozilla Firefox for this.
Then, goes on "Tools" > Add Ons
A new window will pop-up, in that click on the right corner "Get Extensions"
It will redirect you to a Mozilla Firefox's search page.
Search "videodownloader", and in the results select "videodownloader 1.1".
In next page, scroll down and select "Install Now (14 kb)".
It will install you the component and ask you to reboot Firefox.
After the reboot, go on any YouTube (Google Video etc. as well) page and when you're in front of the video, in the right corner of your browser you have an image of a floppy over a video. Click it and on the new window that will pop-up click "Download" and Firefox will start to download the video you selected.

First, you have to use Mozilla Firefox for this.
Then, goes on "Struments" > Other Components (or something like it, since I don't know what's the equal in english)
A new window will pop-up, in that click on the right corner "Download new components" (or something like it)
It will redirect you to a Mozilla Firefox's search page.
Search "videodownloader", and in the results select "videodownloader 1.1".
In next page, scroll down and select "Install Now (14 kb)".
It will install you the component and ask you to reboot Firefox.

Click it and on the new window that will pop-up click "Download" and Firefox will start to download the video you selected.
English translated..

Go Tool>>>Add ons>>>Get Extensions>>>Seach>>videodowloader>>>videodownload er 1.1>>>Dowload>>>restart

Great idea, Nick! I had thought about posting a similar thread myself. There are three other ways I have found to dl vids off of youtube:

1. Use VDownloader

VDownloader allows you to download videos from Youtube, Google video, Dailymotion and Grinvi to your computer, saving them in AVI, MP4 or MPG format rather than FLV format.

Download: http://www.enriquepuertas.com/wp-con...downloader.zip

More info: http://comunidad.uem.es/epuertas/pos...video-y-grinvi (Site is in spanish. I translated it using http://babelfish.altavista.com/ )

NOTE: Make sure you have gone to options/preferences before dling the vid to change the options to your liking. If their is an error converting the video, you can fix it by right clicking the video, rename and typing the proper file extension. ie .avi for AVI, .mpg for MPEG and .mp4 for PSP.

2. Use a bookmarklet

The All-In-One Video Bookmarklet

The all-in-one bookmarklet supports YouTube, Google Video, Metacafe, Myspace, Break.com, Putfile, Dailymotion, Sevenload, MyVideo.de and Clipfish.de. Bookmark the link below and access the bookmark when looking at videos on any of the supported websites. The bookmarklet will give you the download-link(s) for the video you were looking at. This is done via a script so that no information goes to a third party (ie videodownloader.net or keepvid.com) and protects your privacy.

3. Use downloadhelper.net

It's a Firefox extension that downloads youtube videos and other files.

Thanks yungflo for recommending this.

I also use http://media-convert.com/ to convert youtube's flv format vids into other formats.

Thanks xiehaorong for this recommendation.

Wow thanks a lot, too bad the quality of those videos are always going to suck. Does it work for myspace videos as well?

Edit: There is no search option when I go to search for videodowloader.

Edit: Never mind
