Had nothing to do with that. More so the fact that people were abusing the points. Not going to go into great detail about it, but that's basically it.

The old point's system gave anyone the ability to ban someone. There's no set date for it to come back, but LK was supposed to be looking to get a beta version installed or something. Haven't heard any progress on the situation lately. Either way, it's not going to hurt my feelings if they don't come back.
