when you say constant term, do you mean value of x because after that you say m =1/4?
if so you just plug in x and solve for m
if m=5/2
(2x + 5/2x)^6 = 0
2x + 5/2x = 0
4x^2 + 5 = 0
dont have a calculator on me but do quadratic
if x = 5/2
(5 + 2m/5)^6
(5 + 2m/5)(5 + 2m/5)(5 + 2m/5)(5 + 2m/5)(5 + 2m/5)(5 + 2m/5) = 0
5 + 2m/5 = 0
2m/5 = -5
2m = -25
m = -25/2
can you explain what's being solved for though

(2x + m(1/x))^6
(2(5/2) + m(1/(5/2)))^6
(5 + m(2/5))^6
5 + 2m/5 = 0
25 + 2m = 0
2m = -25
m = -25/2

i understand permutations and combinations but this doesn't relate to probability
