this must be some terminology specific to your teacher; i do not know how that problem leads to permutations and combinations and the constant term is quite confusing to me as well ill think of similar problems and see if i can figure something out

well theres really no "set" way to learn this or at least i dont remember

make everything out of 100. This will give you a percent which you can convert to decimals

can you give me some examples of questions so i can see if i should just tell you the basic ones rather than the silly ones like 1/2344

to make fractions into decimals, you just divide

3/4

3 goes into 4 0.75 times. It is 0.75

Also you can base the denominator out of 100 (25x4 = 100) then 25x3 = 75

then you have 75/100 = 0.75

do 5 divided by 6 or 3 divided by 9

if you suck at dividing

multiply both the numerator and denominator by 100

and make the denominator 100

5/6 = 500/600 = 500/6 / 100

250/3 / 100

obviously that doesn't go in exactly

but if you want to make an estimate, 249 is a multiple of 3 and 249 divided by 3 is 83. Therefore 249/3 / 100 = 0.83

However its still 250/3 / 100 so its a little more

well i know for a fact that 5/6 is 0.833333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333 3333333........

if all else fails memorize them

so ur sayin 5/6 would be 5 divided by 6 or 500 divided by 6

then i get the answer

for fractions like 5/6 u could just go 100 divided by 6=13.33 then times the result by 5=.8333


i dont know if thats an easier way to do it but it might help

lol thats much easier thx but if its 500 divided by 600 that would be easier i think
