The tragedy of human nature is that we all continue to treat others in the ways we have been treated, despite changes in time and place
What about this: The sad thing about mankind is that we keep killing each other. In the Roman age, people killed people for power(in italy), in the Medievals, people killed people for power( in Europe), even when Napoleon ruled France, he killed people to extend his power. Even now, people keep killing each other, but not only for power, also for money and respect, in each town or city.

Thanks man, I really appreciate it although I had already finished this last night haha.
This was my try just for interest;
Generations have come and gone, but respect, morals and beliefs in people are a constant in any society, from societies of poor socio economic-status to high socio-economic status, and from tough environments to safe environments. The establishment of this respect, these morals and these beliefs descends from past generations when the foundations of respect, morals and beliefs were instilled in the community. Evidently, children of today are taught to respect and treat others how they would like to be treated, however the way in which each individual is brought up through childhood has its own effects on the individual himself and on an even larger scale, the community aswell. Unfortunately, not everyone is taught these simple beliefs, which inturn can be detrimental to the perceptions and decisions of the individual.
Anyway since you took your time I'll make a signature for you I guess. Just PM me with what you want.

That's a very intelligent answer. Personally I would have considered making more of the generational culture differences between modern society and older generations, and inparticular the 'dog eat dog' attitute of modern society, and the simple fact that for most people it's far easier to seek revenge than forgiveness.

I would have probably included a part on religions, most likely Catholism, with the fact that they refer to the Bible for their lives, stating that killing is a sin, to not do it even though Jesus was killed, yet they killed people that opposed them centuries ago, and the fact that this situation involved with time to a point that it would never be even considered nowadays....

to me that reminds me of conflicts that are going on worldwide and locally. People hurt others because others did something to them, then someone winds up killed and the family and friends of the deceased feel they must take revenge for the crime that has been commited. like a deadly cycle. im sure that there are ethnic groups, nations, villages and clans still stuck in this cycle even though tens, hundreds, or thousands of years (in some cases) have passed since the initial conflict. there are gangs in my area that realy hate each other and seek out their own form of justice when one of their members are wronged by the other gang. it seems humans have a hard time forgiving and forgetting, like many religions preach. for all the superiority we feel that we are more intellectually evolved than humans, we have not evolved enough to stop ourselves from allowing conflict to escalate and continue.
just my two cents, since i was in the thinking mood
