Yes I respect my parents

I'm generally a calm person, but I get most angry when they are unreasonable with something, and my anger comes from not being able to do anything about it.

I have friends who have young parents, and they are generally 'cooler', sometimes I wish my parents were more like friends to me but I can't really change it so...

They are getting to be more reasonable now though, they let me do mostly what I want as long as I stay healthy and try hard in school

I never ever yell at my dad, me and him are real tight and we just talk about things. This could also be because I don't live with him and I only see him 4 times over a two week span.

With my mom, it's a bit of a different story. She's very short tempered and I think a bit bi-polar. She will also really push your buttons, as if she wants to argue, but I know it's not her fault...

Lately, over the past year, I have been as good as I can with her. I try to do what I'm told, and if we do get in conflict, I try to get out of the room with her as soon as I can.

I respect my parents. Nowadays were are more like friends than anything, we joke around and that because I'm over the whole "My parents are lame and shit" fad.

Sure I get on there nerves at times and they get on mine but we know that we just gotta avoid each other and give ourselves time to cool off. I always think that if it weren't for them I wouldn't be here today so I am constantly grateful.

A boy gotta have a strong father figure to show him how to be a man. A mother can't do that cuz she has no idea about being a man, she will only unintentionaly hurt her son's manhood. That's why it's a bad thing when a mother has a too big influence on her son, cuz she will shape her son as a weak man who (unconciously) don't have a control over his life and won't be a strong father for his son(s) in the future. It's like a cycle, and it's very hard to break it.

My father is a good man, he is not educated at all, but I have a tremendous respect for his noble character. It happend that he had to travel to many countries to look for job cuz of unemployment. So it was my mother who was trying to be a man in my life when he wasnt home. My mother does care a lot for me to the point where she is very controling, so it's a challenge for me to break it and become the real man that I am meant to be.
