Anyone here use Twitter?

I use it to follow artists and shit like that. There's been times that Wale has debuted songs and stuff on his Twitter, so it can be useful for getting music as soon as it drops. When I first signed up, I used it for myself and did text updates and all that, but then I realized how pointless it was because no one cares and I have no followers.

this thing just randomly blew up. like every fuccking thing has a twitter page. even television channels for old ass ppl have it. i was surprised when dwight mentioned it too in the post game interview. i dont really see the fad. i just have fb and i plan on sticking with it now, cuz im definately wasting so much time just checking shiit for fb....cant imagine how much time i would waste checking out this shiit. i dont really care bout celebrities atm....just gonna worry bout myself.

Sorry to bring this back up, but damn. Like, everybody in sports has a Twitter Account now. We got draft night trade updates through TWITTER. Didn't think it would ever get this big, I thought it would die out pretty quickly.

I even recently got one. I mainly use it to follow athletes but I'll have a opinion on the NBA every once in a while. You can follow me if you want...

That is a bit of a generalisation no? Facebook is actually a great social networking tool. Not one of my facebook friends have I "met online", instead they are people from my school or uni or people that I have met out. It allows you to actually become better mates with those people you might not otherwise be mates with. For example, if you meet a chick out briefly, you can't just ring her up for a few coldies. However, if you use FB chat and get to know her a bit you can.

I have become better mates with a lot of people through Facebook, it's pretty good.

I've looked at Twitter maybe once, but thats it. I may start looking for basketball related twitter pages to follow. I had to choose, facebook over myspace all day. Most people from school go away on vacation or move, especially after senior years so its good to see what other people are doing once in a awhile.

Also, its really annoying at times how News casts especially CNN have become so viewer-interactive. I mean, who really cares what 1 person out of the entire country thinks Iran should do to solve there crisis. All the time there like "follow us on Twitter....Myspace....Facebook.....*blah**blah*"

I thought these sites were just for teenager and the like, thats just me.

Yeah same, haven't got a Myspace, Facebook or a Twitter and never made one...
Just never saw the point. And now finally some of my mates are getting tired of it and agreeing that it's a waste of time...

If i wanna talk to someone i'll ring/text them- unless of course i can just speak to them in person
