Overheard outside of M2

You know how it goes. You're out in public somewhere, maybe at a shopping center or mall or anywhere, and you walk by someone and something catches your ear. You don't know the context of the situation, so you try your hardest to bite your tongue and not burst out laughing. What have you guys just randomly heard out in public?

I got the idea from a facebook group called "Overheard at VT" where students post stuff they overheard on campus. i.e.

girls in front of d2:
"i forgot halloween was supposed to be scary, i just thought it was a dress up day."

sometimes I feel like I severely overestimate the people who attend college

Between a guy and a girl in Surge:

Girl: My parents are coming home this weekend and asked if I needed anything, but I don't know what to tell them.
Guy: Why don't you ask for paper towels and stuff so you won't have to buy them.
Girl: No. I want stuff I can't get myself... like fingernail clippers.
Guy...: But you can buy fingernail clippers at any convenience station or Wal-Mart.
Girl: You can? How was I supposed to know that? I've never bought something like that before.

She's in college? Really?

I was going to take a lunch at school and there were 3 girls playing a game,which I believe was "Name a country/city with..." and they had "D" as the letter.

Girl 1 : I say Dominican Republic.
Girl 2 : Dublin,Scotland.
Girl 3 : (She thought about it around 5 seconds) Moscow.
Girl 1 & Girl 2 : But..we're playing with "D" ?!
Girl 3 : Oh...you don't understand anything about this game.F*ck you.

So me and my friend looked at each other and we both we're like "WTF ?! Did you hear the same ?!".IDK,I just found it very strange and funny.

Or :

We're playing a game on the road and one of my teammates makes a foul,so the guy from the other team is about to shoot free throws.Then he misses the first one and looked at his coach and his coach said :

- You're just like Raja Bell ( a second of silence )..when you see Kobe you sh*t in your pants.Your case is a bit different,it's about the basket,not about Kobe.

All the crowd started laughing so hard,even tho it was their team,but we on the court tried to hold it down lol.

It's not technically an overheard but once we were watching Suns vs Spurs in the playoffs (the so called dirty series) and at a moment we all yellled "he walked" and a girl that was watching the game with us said "What? You cant walk? You have to run all the time?"

I don't really remember many times that's happened but last night me and about 20 or so friends were at this guys house drinking, listening to music, etc and these two girls were sitting on the couch. As I'm walking off into the next room, one of the girls (who thought I wouldn't hear) says to the other girl "God I need it bad tonight", hahaha. She was filthy so I didn't go near her after that but I'm sure she would of been trying to get her box smashed.

I was in ~ 7th grade, a group of overexcited girls were carefully listening to one overly excited girl. I understood that she was telling about her holiday in the rest-house near some lake and I overheard something like "on the couch". Then another overly excited girl asked her "was it hairy?"

This isnt really overhearing, but it does show how dumb one of my brothers girlfriends were:

We see the train pull in, we enter the train, we then sit down, the train starts going and we start talking, after a bit of conversation my brothers girlfriend ask:

Girlfriend: Which way does the train go?

Seriously we saw the train come in and as if you haven't been on a train before to know which way it is going, she was serious too. She was so dumb, but she did have nice boobs.

Good thread. I was at the supermarket and I was waiting in the checkout line behind some fat older woman who was buying cigarettes. I wasn't paying any attention to her until she said this:

Woman: Can I have those cigarettes there?
Store clerk: You mean these red ones?
Woman: Yes those..
Store clerk hands her the cigarette packet
-Woman looks at the them-
Woman: can you give me a DIFFERENT packet? this one has a horrible picture on it! it makes me sick to even look at it
Store clerk: uhh...yeah ok

What.the.****...some people I swear. ##background note: In Australia we have rules that cigarette companies must put warning pictures onto their products##. Why the **** would she smoke when she obviously knows it's bad for her?
