There is an interesting novel called
"Fatherland". I haven`t read it yet, but I will some day, as I find the subject fascinating.
The fact is that Pearl Harbor changed history (as did German attack on USSR). Americans might never have entered the war had it not been for the Japanese attack. Germany could have had all of Western Europe and shouldn`t have attacked USSR, since Barbarossa was a complete failure.
It is interesting that Hilter learned nothing from Napoleon`s Russian campaign a century and a half earlier, which also ended disastrously.
