How do i connect my 360 to my comp - 10-10-2006, 07:51 PM

ive had a 360 for a while now and ive only thought about connecting the 360 to my comp now and how do i do it? can it connect through the ethernet cord (my 360 is connected to xbox live) cause when i did a Windows xp Xbox connection check it said its not connected and i need to download something called Windows Media center or some s***...

and can i transfer movies from my comp to my 360 or just music and photos?

If you got Windows Media Center (most don't), you can stream it all.

If you got Windows XP Service Pack 2 (like me), you can stream music and pics (no videos). To be able to do this, go to http://xbox.com/pcsetup and download the program. Follow directions on your 360 and/or media connect program and try to do the rest.

Oh yea you know what's badass? You can use pics from your pc as the dashboard theme for your 360! Love that

thats pretty tight. so all i need to do is just get that program and i can just send stuff to my 360?
but i might just get the media center cause i wanna put movies and tv shows on it.

You could if you want, but (have nooo idea how valid this is) I heard a rumor that in a future update M$ will allow those with XP to stream video as well. I'm skeptical, but I can dream right?

hey imadogg im havin some toubles with coneecting the xbox to the pc cos i only have one ethernet port on my pc but i need two one for the 360 connection and one for my broadband wat should i do??????/

Yea if you want everything to be connected you need to buy a router/switch/hub... look online for some. I got a Linksys, works.
