plzz help. after all this reading ive done on PS3 online i stil have no clue how it works:WTF:

so how does it work?
if i take it straight outta da box, would i b able 2 connect 2 da net wirelessly and play against my friends? without attaching any cords 2 a wall or sumthing

or

do i need cords to connect to a wall or sumthing? but if i did have cords, where would i connect it? this is confusing...

unless

i connect my ps3 internet to my modem on the computer some how, but wat if ur ps3 is far away frm ur modem? theyre not gonna make a HUGE cord to hook it up 2 ur ps3 :Bang Head

plz plz help me i am really confused

the ps3 should be the same as a 360 so u would need a router, obviosly a modem and computer. then u just hook up the ethernet cable to the router. then u connect ur modem to the router. and thats that.

not the 60 GB one. That has built in wifi so basically your getting the connection right there. The 20 GB one however (the 500 dollar one) doesnt have built in wifi so you need a router.

But if you buy the 60 GB one...I dont know how the online things works...I dont have online for my ps2 either so I dont know what you do. All i know if that is has the built in wifi for you. i guess that means you can jus connect out of the box? not sure but I know the 20 GB one you need to use the ethernet cable and router n crap.
