360 vs PS3 games comparison (pics + vids)

Now you tell us, are we just missing something or was the next generation here all along?

Interesting stuff. Compares 360 and PS3 multiplatform games side-by-side (video and pics). In the opinions of 1up, the people who voted, and myself... it looks like just about all the games look the same. Where's the jump in PS3's graphics (don't play the "PS3 just came out" game with me, they claimed "4D" while the 360 was "Xbox 1.5")... maybe 1 or 2 games look better (FN3 got the most votes for the PS3 version looking better, though most people still said they were the same), that's it.

in the long run the ps3's gonna look better cause the developers will learn to use the full potential of the ps3 (which is more than the 360)

I'm skeptical about the "Cell" being "4D" and stuff, but I'm pissed about the 50GB or w/e space PS3 has.
But if you look at Blue Dragon for 360, I think it's using 3 discs. Obviously, that's fuckin gay and the PS3 would use one, but it still proves that games don't have to sacrifice space since you can get multiple discs and use the space you need.

Thats because the ps3 just came out and the 360 has been out for a year. The Ps3 has loads of potential and the frame rate issues and graphics will improve greatly. Its hard to compare a year old system to a brand new one :/ The ps3 game developers need time to utilize the potential of the system.
So the graphics should greatly improve, and if they dont, then that would be sad

Well I'm just saying from Sony's own mouth, if the PS3 was 4D and the 360 was an Xbox 1.5, then there should be no contest from launch, don't you think?

And also check the link. Ridge Racer 6 (360 launch) is being compared to RR7 (PS3 launch), and they look very similar. Full Auto is being compared to Full Autp 2, and still graphics look the same. How come when the 360 launched, its graphics could be just like those of the PS3's at launch, even though the PS3 is so advanced?

1up.com are biased, and lacking in technological knowledge. Anyway, I don't want to get in a long winded explanation, but all I can say is that in 3 years, you'll see a difference. It won't be Xbox to PS2 difference, but it will be a difference.

And how the hell is anybody going to compare screenshots of a game by the absolute laziest developers on the market? EA = Horrible.

Yeah I agree 1up.com Is a bad source as well as Joystiq. They use user-submitted news. They check out the link and write a quick summary with out analyzing it.:lol:
