These are November sales, North America only.
The
360 sold 511,000 units during the month, respectable, up from the year before (because of launch shortages), but still not up to what was expected.
The
Wii came out looking great from the start. It
sold 476,000 units that month after release.
The PS3 on the other hand... Sony did not keep their word once again. The 400,000 PS3s in the US mark was not reached; instead, Sony shipped around 200,000
PS3s, selling 197,000.
The 360 was in short supply in 2005, shipping only around 350,000. The PS3 launch was even worse than that, due to their numerous production problems, while the Wii has had some problems of its own, but still has come away with the biggest launch (unit-wise) of the three.
Btw my game, Gears of War, sold over 1 million copies very quickly, in 2-3 weeks.
Comments? Expected or not expected?
