Blitz: The League for 360 - Hidden gem?

I had this game for PS2 before any of the next gen consoles came out.. I played it for a couple months before I got my 360 and I loved it! I was so disappointed when I heard it wouldn't be coming out for 360.. I ended up selling it, along with all my other PS2 games to get me some money for the 360..

Well, it came out for 360 in November of '06.. It's basically a port of the XBOX version with very slightly tweaked graphics, but it's still a very fun game if you're in the mood for some arcade style football.. On top of all that, it retails for $30!

You can download the demo off of the XBL Marketplace.. I would recommend it if you want to consider buying it, but it doesn't give you a very good tutorial of the controls which can frustrate you.. The full game has an in-game tutorial thing where it tells you what to do and then it takes you into a game and you do it.

I just think it's funny because I didn't know it had released for 360 until a couple of weeks ago.. It seems as if it had a very quiet release for 360, which is understandable considering it released for everything else back in '05..

It got a 7.4 on GameStop for the 360 version, but don't let that fool you.. Like I said, it's a 99.9% port from the original XBOX version which got an 8.6..

Yeah, it's made by Midway.. All those hard and ridiculous late hits, with steroids. :lol:

holy shti are u serious? how close is it to the N64 Version?

if the gameplay is the same or close.. i am so getting that wen/if i get a 360

Well I mean, if you're looking for it to be a fun, family experience lik the old Blitz gmaes, that's not what you're gonna get..

An example, when a player gets injured on the field, the camera zooms into the part of the body that has been broken or sprained and shows the bone crack under an x-ray.. You then have the option to sit him out for however long he needs to heal, or juice him and let him back out there immediately..

But, there's all of that unrealistic gameplay of the old Blitz series.. on steroids.
