WARNING - God of War 2 won't work on old PS2's!

I'm so pissed, i've been waiting to play this game so i finally rent it, the d@mn game won't work!
The ps2 doesn't even recognize it when i put it in the console!

So I looked it up online and people with old PS2's are having troubles with it, because they went to dual layer discs, the old ps2 system won't read it. it's lame that you must upgrade to a slim line ps2 to play this!

After the 20th try i got it to work, this game is as good as i thought it was going to be

now i don't wanna turn it of because i don't know if it will work next time

Pull ya PS2 completely apart and adjust the height of the laser kit (not the laser itself) if it doesn't work next time. Depending on your model, there should be one or two white turn nobs that'll adjust the kit height and springs. One if it's newer, two if it's older.

Wait u got the one with two discs one or just one disc (DVD9)? I think my friend played it on the old one and it is fine, I know this game will almost definitely contain some glitches cos from what ive heard it is built to ps2 max capabilities...Anyway im gonna get em soon this game is a freakin must get...

I have an old ps2 but the second generation old ps2. the one with the noise reducer for the fan. I think It should work on mines. I'll try it. If not, I'll use my ps3:lol:
