Yeah, that was already pretty well known as they made it pretty obvious in that NBA 2k8 poster they had on their site.

Nottt quite. Im pretty sure 2K doesn't give a flying f*ck about EA. 2K just felt that they could advance their game more and it was unnecessary to release any of the info until the game was where they wanted it to be. 2K said that they've made a true next gen title...so Im awaiting greatness.
