360 or Wii?

Right so I was wondering which one I should get but I don't wanna get both.

I really want a Wii so I can play Super Smash Bros Brawl, Super Mario Galaxy and a couple of great games coming out soon.

On the other hand I want a 360 to play Halo three, and maybe some other games that look pretty cool.

To be honest even with the price deduction on a 360 it stills seems overpriced for the console itself and it's games/accessories. For example I played Xbox live at my brother in laws house and I totally loved it, but I don't understand why it should cost money when Wii's online play will be free, I really don't wanna fork out 80 bucks just for a 12 month gold package. Now If only that was the end of it, but then I'd have to fork out another 80 bucks just to buy wireless thingy for Xbox 360 because I can't really connect a cord through my stairs lol. This seems like a total rip off and I don't understand why it cant be in-built like in the Wii.

Oh and I'd probably buy the Elite Xbox 360 if I wanted a 360, because my TV was built for HDMI. It can run the other HD plug-in things but it'll look better with HDMI.


So all-in-all I'm edging towards a Wii because it's seems more enjoyable for the price and games, and won't take a hefty $600+ out of my account.

I'd really like to experience 1080p HD gaming though.

I say 360, the wii will get old fast... All the people that own a Wii also own a PS3 or 360, cause it's getting old and they want to be able to play normal games...

EDIT: screw this I bet none of you even own a wii your all just a bunch of PS3 or 360 junkies.

Ask whitemamba He owns a wii.

Even he knows its outdated technology and used only to get cash because they can't afford to make a next gen console

Honestly, What type of gamer are you? if you want variety, you GOTTA get 360.

If you want just mario games and resident evil and metroid , get nintendo.

It doesn't have alot of 3rd party support and is not really for the hardcore gamer.

I want a wii but dude, 360>wii all day.

Wii's online is not free. It's 6months free trial. (the last time I read. Never owned a wii, so wouldn't really know. Just going by reports)

Reports? It's all over the internet that it's free on the Wii and nothing about 6 months trial. They also say no subscriptions fees ever!

Xbox Live Premium Gold 12 month Package $70
Wireless Network connector $100
Games $30-$60 each

It's looks like I'm gonna have to spend a good $700 bucks just to "experience" an almost 2 year old system. No offense but for that price I'd rather buy a nice laptop.

Here's my opinion.. The Wii is most definitely a LOT of fun, and with the games coming out that you mentioned (SSBB, SMG) it will be a great console to have. But if you are only going to buy one console, go with the 360.. If I had to choose between one console, I would choose the 360, but it's great to be a Wii60 owner.

Basically, you're not going to get real good gaming experience if you only have a Wii, you'll get a good gaming experience if you have a 360, and you'll get a great gaming experience if you own both. But, if you're running on a low budget, and you're a huge Nintendo fan, go with the Wii, man. It's all up to you in the end.

I have a 360 and I'm not planning on getting a Wii anytime soon. The 360 has a lot of variety and many features plus its easy to get used too. I had a PS2 before buying a 360 and it only took me like 3 days to get used to the controls on the 360.

While were on the topic of 360. Are they still going to release 360 games when Xbox Elite comes out. This question has probably already answered but I haven't been on here in a while.

The Elite is not a new console. It's the same thing. It is the 360. Except it's black and has a bigger harddrive. The Elite is NOT replacing the 360 premium.
