They actually rate everything out of hundred. So if they person is shooting 42% they put 42 for the fg attribute. Mike Wang explained it on the OS forum.

^WTF? that cant be right, thats a bit unfair....if theyre having an off-season....i think its 60% on stats, 40% the guys preference, and the fact that they have to have some players attributes high

I can't remember the formula exactly but it's something like 3P% + 50
