That's the funny thing, some Nintendo fans get excited by this news but you have to look at the software.

What 3rd party support have they really gotten? EA's Boogie?

It's bad for everyone involved as companies will say look at how great Wii is selling lets spend money making Wii games. Look at the **** like Wii Sports, lets make more **** and sell it on the system instead of actually making good games.

So even the old school Nintendo fans are left with a Gamecube level system.

BTW, Yungflo, it's also been announced that the PS3 sales have passed the Xbox360 for the same timeframe (despite a lack of content and a higher price).

We all knew it was gonna happen. Reports also suggest that the PS3 outsold the 360 in July det. [EDIT: nevermind, just saw that the 360 still beat the PS3, though it was close]

360 is gonna kill starting Sept. Maybe even starting this month if Bioshock can sell.

Yeah 360 will have a strong finish to the year IMO. Bioshock got some real hype behind it, and all this talk about another price drop in a couple months will only boost momentum.

Sony on the other hand seem content with Paramount dropping support for BluRay, and EA sh*tting all over the brand by putting out a 30FPS Madden. They're so c0cky man... I guess they have a reason to be, though. It's kinda like they're hanging back just knowing that they'll eventually just boom.

When the 65nanometer chips start pumping in mass production I expect the price to drop a little more for PS3, and as BluRay technology becomes more widely adapted and the royalties pay off further and Sony finally make some ground up on the loss for each console sold, it should coincide with the release of great software which = hype, more features such as Home, and the inevitable price drop.

Funniest/most ironic thing this generation though is Japan's dissidence with the PS3 price, and Sony even shafted them on that by refusing to drop it lmao

Bioshock isn't really going to help I don't think. I think the bigger deal would be all the advertisements for Madden announcing the 360 price drop aswell.

Still, Sony does have PSP and PS2 continuing to do well so it's not the doom and gloom some people try to make it out to be.

Bioshock will probably sell better than expected, but yea it won't be one of those crazy selling games. Madden will sell like 5 million copies of course. Price drop helps of course. Microsoft has the rest of the year set.

And no one is arguing that Sony's gonna go bankrupt, we know PS2 is still killin, we're just saying how the PS3 isn't selling too well now.

I know that sales are gonna go up when the AAA games come out of course
