I like it im not in love with it, whats it to you? Yeah, a NEW feature that's been ripped off 2k7

The reason I ask because The people I speak to or the people I forum with have already deleted the demo. Including the hardcore Live fans:lol:

It appears you're the only one that's really keeps playing this demo. Like it's revoutionary which is not.

LIVE 08= NBA 2k7 PRE PRE ALPHA build. Well, not even. NBA 2k7 owns this game. Live is merely a cocpycat that has failed to live up to the person its trying to copy. Like them gta clone games.

if you posted a move list for 2k8, I would have given you points!

I quite liked live 08 actually, I did feel let down by 07, but 08 is definately a step forward. I'd like to know yungflo what ea would have to do to make it was good as 2k in your eyes, i mean honestly how would you improve it to a point where you'd say ok, its a decent game i'm not gonna hate on it.

I've actually still got the demo, and i'm not a hardcore fan, just a casual gamer who enjoys basketball. Honestly I think 08 is almost as good as 2k7, cos i mean theres still problems with 2k7 and things which i didnt like, and visually i think i prefer live.
Don't get me wrong I think 2k8 will definately bring something new and take it to a new level. That is unless it gets some glitches. But live 08 isnt that bad, people are just still angry over the imcompleteness of 07 and until 08 is fully released and reviewed im going to save full judgement and potentially denoncement.

just please could we have one nba live thread without somebody mentioning 2k8.

yeah been playing live 08 demo alot.
since i had 2k5 on the ps2, i discarded live. im someone who looks for simulation, not arcade. and i felt that 2ksports brought that well. 2k6 to me was a whole new level, for real, all that new dribbling controls, shootin with the right stick. the graphics was a huge jump, and tons of animation, it was the best at that moment. it was so good, i didnt even bother listening to what EA was up to, when was live06 gonna be out, whos on the cover.
2k7 was pretty disappointing, mind you i was still on the ps2. i only got an updated roster, and very little new animations. but then, this year, i got my 360. hhaha, it was heaven. 2k7 is definitely a blowout, its crazy, its the best game ever. better than any games i had. that, was what i called, revolutionary. and i couldnt wait for 2k8.
recently, live08 has put up quite a number of videos, and introduced its new features. EA has always market its products well, so the videos looked great. i was interested, but with no intention of buying it, at all. nba 2k8 was slow to reveal, but that recent video of the build, it was good. i like it, i like the new dribbling animations, and off ball movement. all seem good. 2k's animation is one of the best, its so smooth and transits very well to one another.
2 days ago, i download the live08 demo. what i was impressed, was nothing else, but how the a.i played me. though its only 2 2min quarters, the a.i played it very nicely. in fact, it was better than 2k7. im a 2k guy, and im always going on forums trying to tweak sliders here and there, trying to get the most ultimate gameplay. but i always felt 2k ball movement was very fixed. as in, i can always tell where the ball is going, and they always run the same plays. and the a.i Mostly always like to use up all 24seconds of shot clock.
in 08, it was rather random. they run different plays everytime they cross the halfcourt, and even if they do run the same play, there will be variations, like shooting with different people. and tony parker, was really using his speed to kill me, but not like some live07 arcade style, its Quite similar to reality.
the big problem in live08, of cos, is that the fast breaks were too hard to stop. almost every fast break gauranteed 2points. and then there are the dunk animations, they are all still as jerky and ugly. worst still, they had so few dunk animations. hot spots, i dont find any use of it. post game was a little cool, but too little moves. i like quickstrike, the dribbles look great, animation and transitions very nicely done, getting past someone feels like i put in effort, not just mashing and flicking sticks all around.
overall, i MIGHT get the game, i dont know. because personally, i felt the demo was good. of cos, thats just my taste, i may have bad taste, i dont know. but as someone looking so deep into basketball games, especially 2k, and a game designer myself, i think live08 is worth a shot this year.

if they added, the tiger woods gameface feature, The dynasty is the ****, but I still need more. Crowd interaction. Quickstrike is good, but it's been done before.

Live 08 is definately better, but most of the stuff has been done by them or 2k. At most to me, it feels like a 45$ game, not a 60. My bro is going to pick this up, so I'll give it a run. Doesn't impress me so far. I'm glad to see the PG-scorer Artificial intelligence is gone. I mean how many times a non-name point guard would score? In the demo, I watched I saw tp kept feeding Timmy(CPU operated) which was a good point in my eyes.

The thing(s) that over did it for me is when I saw Timmy made a turn around fade. I was like OKAY, THAT WAS MESSED UP. If it was KG, I would have not minded. But Timmy?! Eh, All games have their faults I guess.

I agree with some of the stuff u said above man, im NOT a hardcore NBA live fan, i didnt know posting a moves list to help people out who played the game was being a hardcore NBA live fan:lol: You cant blame some1 if they actually like playing a game, im not asking you to like the game you know. All I was saying was that the game improved a lot and its way better than live 07, and I never said it was better than 2K, but it looks better than 2K, and im obviously not the only person on here playing the live demo, read around:ROFL: It seems like every1 is still mad over how horrible that Live 07 was that they cant see that the game improved, im not talking about you yungflo in general..

And when did 2K use quickstrike ballhandling? Are they using it this year? If so they took it from live, along with the hotspots idea, because I doubt they would have came up with that, there was nothing about 2k stating they would use that feature, until the Nba Live Producers started making blogs and now 2K had the idea.:lol:
