Finally one of my favorite games ever is announced.

Some comments on a blog from the gameplay vid played by some lucky guy:

10:03 - 10:10 [Ninja Gaiden 2 Gameplay Description] The game starts. The player jumps into first person to survey the scene. Then runs around. A GROUP OF SIX ENEMIES APPEAR.

The gameplay is so fast that it's hard to watch. Hard to keep up with. Lots of blood. Bodies getting chopped in half. Ryu pins enemis on the ground, thrusts his sword in, and they explode!

After the fight, he shakes the blood of his sword. Then runs up the stairs to the top of a bridge. Lots of eneies appear. Ryu does a ninja arts move. He switches form his rapier sword to a twin blade.

Then to shurikens. Actually, I think the shurikens are equipped as a subweapon. The environments have a lot of destructable elements to them. He's fighting in a fruit stand area, and when the fight ends, all the stands have been destroyed and the fruits are lying on the ground.

Next, Ryu faces off aginst gun-wielding enemies. They have machine guns.

Chopped up bodies are everywhere. They don't seem to be leaving the scene, at least not initially.

Now, he changes to Ryu's claws. Giant winged beasts, three times his size appear. They have green blood.

HOLY *&%# THIS IS THE MOST AMAZING ACTION GAME I'VE EVER SEEN!!!

Boss time. A giant rumbling. A huge beast, with six legs and 10 times Ryu's size rampages onto the scene. He roars, then the demo comes to an end.

10:02 - Lighting Necropolis, Lifeblodod Shrine, Northern Pergatory, Aqua Capital -- Eight stages in the demo build. He says they're far along in development. They were originally going to show the Japanese castle level, but there was an incident yesteday with screenshots getting leaked, so instead they're going to show the Aqua Castle stage.

10:01 - The reason the director will play is so that Itagaki can talk. He says the game is too fast for him to play while speaking to the audience.

10:00 - He's going to show the game demoed live. The game's director is playing back stage. This is 100% actual real time gameplay.

9:59 - Itagaki continues, 'When we were creating the original NG for the Xbox, we used all of our power to use the hardware to its fullest, to extract every drop of power from that hardware. As a result, we weren't able to implement every feature we wanted to. As I look back, there were maybe 10 or 20 features we weren't able to implement. Now we're able to present nG2 on xbos 360 next gen hardware. What this means is we're able to implement features that we couldn't do before. As you can imagine, there's no greater thrill for a developer. Please enjoy the world's best action game running on the world's most powerful machine, Xbox 360.'

9:58 - Itagaki says, 'Our goal with Ninja Gaiden 2 is to create the world's premier action game, just as DOA4 was the premier fighting game when it was released at the 360's launch and remains the premier fighting game today. I know that a lot of our fans played the first NG as being a masterpiece and being flawless. However, as a team, we don't necessarily agree all the time.'

9:57 - The damn 360 fans are cheering after evrything Itagaki says.

Holy sh1t man, I loved the first Ninja Gaiden and now a 2nd one finally hits the stage? I think it's time I got myself a 360 with all these monster games coming out.

Agreed! I was seriously contemplating on getting a PS3, but with so many great exclusives coming out on the 360, might as well get one before xmas. :Bang:

i just hope they don't do a remake of the first one like they did with Sigma. the graphic look krazy on this game.

Arlubas the 360 is taking over....... you better jump on that son.
