This is very common i found alot of stuff on how to fix it, hang on, i'll see if i can find it...
I cant find the pages i found, because i cant remember what i searched, but try this: http://www.portforward.com/english/r...x_Live_360.htm
Basically you need to port forward...

Also i dont know how you've lasted this long with it on strict, you normally wouldn't be able to play many people.... BTW If you text your XBL connection does NAT say strict?

You can play online just fine with NAT on strict, but it means a lot of the community options (like joining friends games) won't work, so you definitely wanna configure your router to forward those ports.

Which model of modem/router are you using?

How'd you do it. I got a friend who reckons he's just gonna buy a new router, i told him to port forward, but he reckons it doesn't work. Can you expain it or is it too long?

Well its not like i knew what i was doing. You wont find an option saying OPEN nat or STRICT nat. you will have to go into the options of the device connected to your router (the xbox) and get it its own ip address? i dont know somethin like that :S if ur friend has problems let me know i will explain in more details.

Ok you need first to look up into the manual u might find it right infront of u or not (like my case) if not you need to find any option to do with the devices connected to the router and try and configure that. its going to ask you to assign an IP address to this device you picked or something like that. Listen if u need more help send me ur msn id and i will add to tell you step by step what i did.
