Anybody playin' 360 on Monitor? Urgent Help!

anybody playin 360 on their monitors? thinkin of buyin one, and mines 16:10 so the image would be stretched. any suggestions?

Im playing sometimes on my LCD. The image is better than on tv, specially in nba 2k8 (I dont have HD TV)

try change resoultion in xbox options

and ofcourse uptade the game when u are connected to internet

Yeah I play it on my 22" computer monitor. I did some research before I bought it and the best resolution for the 360 to be set at is 1280x1024. Just change it in your xbox360 options as mentioned above. You won't really notice any "stretch" and don't just buy some sh*thouse monitor, research a little.

Can someone suggest a monitor I should buy.
I'm trying to see if there is a way to get it to work on an iMac.

I'm playing on a 20 inch viewsonic, it looks pretty damn good if I may say so myself. People actually say it looks better than on my friend's Vizio (which is in HDMI).

@ Klonepool, depends on a lot of things like what size, how much you're willing to spend. And does an iMac have a D-Sub input?

I sometimes game on my 22" Samsung Monitor. The screen does stretch vertically, but not significantly. Image will have a slight blur also, because the only 16:10 res the 360 supports natively is 1280x768. Like Urban_Curruptor said, stick with 1280x1024.

Last thing; if you plan on purchasing a 360 VGA cable, then buy the official MS one. A lot of 3rd party VGA cables aren't shielded and have ghosting problems. I tried a Joytech one out and it was utter Sh*t.

if u play on a monitor, u need an RCA to mini jack adapter to make the xbox play thru PC speakers yeh?
playing on a monitor in High Res is better than playing on a crappy TV with bad resolution

this is the monitor i have...22" HDMI with (not so great) speakers.
