Need for Speed Undercover thread - 08-22-2008, 03:53 PM

So, although i doubt this will get a whole lot of attention, here we go. This is the thread to talk about the new NFS game, Need foe Speed Undercover, which i only just found out about today on IGN. After reading what they had to say, nothing grabbed my attention and i have to say i was dissapointed with need for speed Carbon, the last game. However, before i completely dismissed it, i thought i would check out the trailer, and i was SHOCKED. I am a sucker for a good storyline, and this one, a racer going undercover in his city to clean it up, sounds very promising. The cut scenes were incredibly detailed, as were they cars.

This is where the articles will be released, as well as pictures and videos. Hopefully with more released nearer its arrival, it should show more innovation in the driving physics engines, and more about what to expect.

Release Date: November 18th

well it is one of ea's biggest franchises, youve never played NFS underground? shocking, lol...i play em all, i find em sweet, cos there is some sort of a storyline, and the car customization is mind boggling, its pretty realistic, like gran turismo, but with more options....i really hope they have free roam, from the pictures the city is based on looks sweet

ProStreet was pretty shitty so I don't know if I will get this or not. I would play Forza over this any day.

NFS are a pretty good series and I got time to finish NFS PS before the new one comes out.

Yeah the last one was Pro Street, not Carbon.
And where did you find the trailer? I couldn't find it on that IGN page.

yeah my bad, it was pro street, which i had, but got so repetitve i started to go off it...the trailers are on that page in the first post, on the right hand side, there are 3 trailers so far...i enjoy gran turismo too, but i love the car customization and storyline too, although games like forza are more realistic, i think something thats more fun has more appeal overall...and NFS has sold loads for EA

Still waiting for a game where I can actually feel the difference between cars
im tired of a tuned up Hyundai and a TVR being the exact same thing to drive.

^yeah, they have said they improved that, there used to be 4 different driving engines, which is what makes the cars feel different, in Undercover, there are 430, so in theory, there should be a distinct difference between the cars
