So I got the Red Rings around Septmeber and I just a week ago stopped being lazy and sent it in...so I send it in on Friday the 7th, I get it back on Friday the 14th. No complaints, fast delivery and everything and I'm happy. I open up my Xbox packaging, take a look at the back of the Xbox:
Date Manufactured: September 17, 2007 Date the one I sent in was manufactured: September 27, 2007 Date the RROD was supposedly fixed: September 25, 2007 Mine broke because it was so close to the RROD fix date, and they obviously had leftover hardware so they used it for the first few weeks after September 25. Why the hell did they send me an Xbox older than the one I sent them? Why did they send me one that's still prone to getting the RROD? Anyone else get this? i understand
i got an elite, i bought it september 14, 2007 and it was manufactured 7-7-07 and when i sent it in feburary this year they sent me back 1 made 3-21-07 supposedly their refurbished and AREN'T suppose to break down so far mine got the ring once because the power cord wasnt full in but other then that no problems  FALCONS ON THE RISE Rockets1 |

It doesn't matter what the manufacture date is, the one they send back is meant to be refurbished no matter how old...

^20 months. Manufacture date: July 06...
I dont mind though, i've been wanting it so i get it replaced before my 3 year warranty runs out... Got exams atm so it's good not to have the distraction... EDIT: Btw models that are made since like September last year have the new chips and wont get RROD just to let you know... |

Mine died like 8 months after I got it. I sent it in and got it back within a week, so that was solid. Kosovo Is Serbia Bet with Thorsty - 500 points. Brady Vs. Manning - Better QB Rating. |
