Just some dude that knows how to do it i guess. My friends got it done from some guy and they buy their pirated games off him...

Your implying that everyone who owns a Xbox 360 plays on XBL.

Poor me, I won't be able to play my many DVD+R DL games offline.

It really easy. I found it harder to open up the Xbox 360 than to flash the drive.

Open 360 >> check what model the DVD drive is >> download proper iXtreme 1.4 firmware >> plug SATA cable in 360s DVD drive SATA port >> put the 360 drive into Mode B >> boot OS and follow instructions on flashing the drive

this is frustrating...i think ms just knows who has modded firmware from signing into live no matter if youve played backups before release or not. but im still scared to sign on to check. alot of people said they didnt play backups for weeks or have the ethernet connected but when they signed onto live recently they found out they were banned.

Ever since I chipped my PS1 I haven't done it. All it does is **** up the whole thing. Half the time the games don't work and since I play online a fair bit I don't want to take the chance.

Yes i did make that generalization, mainly because i dont see the point of owning a 360 if your not gonna play online. That's what PS3's are for lol

Yeah dude they know. It's not just about this whole COD5/Gears 2 thing, even though downloading a dodgy rip will just make it easier for MS... Still i think you can avoid the ban hammer if you leave your console disconnected for the next 2 or so weeks. As you said it's only when people try to sign in that it happens...

if it required any soldering or actual technical work i wouldnt have done it but its as easy as installing a cd-rom into your pc. i owned 6 xbox games before this 2k, halo, gta, guitar heros, and smackdown. now i look at games played and its a real list...i can either say i saved $800 or i played games i would have never gotten a chance to really play. for me, its probably worth it even if i get banned...i care more about the patch to 2k than anythign right now...

actually i think they were banned before they even signed in...people think they just flag ur console and have a set date and ban a group and so on. so if tahts true than im already screwed. but yea like i sadi im still scared to sign on...its just gay no one knows the real reason why theyre gettingbanned

So if you get banned you'll just be pissed that you cant get the patch...?
