Why on earth would that be necessary? 1080 footage running in a 4:2:2 color space takes like 1.3 GB per min. And that compared to mpeg2 or h.264, which blu ray currently uses, is really uncompressed.
Even 4K footage, you'd need a 2 1/2 hour long film to fill up 400GB. And televisions got a long way to go to get to 4K res. I mean the technology is great, but seriously overkill. I guess video games are a whole other story though. ~Venom |
