Modern Warfare 2's 'Prestige Edition' Is Insane

Includes an artbook, a downloadable version of COD1, and... night vision goggles?

July 13, 2009 - Gamers who want the "most limited" edition of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be getting more than just a game.

Infinty Ward Community Manager Robert Bowling had been teasing on twitter a movie he had put together of the un-boxing of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 box. Little did we know that by "box" he meant "night vision goggles."

Let's try and calm ourselves down here and go over what's include.

First, they revealed there will be a "Harden Edition" that will retail for $80. This edition includes:

Modern Warfare 2
A tin case
A token to download the original Call of Duty
An artbook

Here's the breakdown for what the "Prestige Edition" comes with:

Modern Warfare 2: Harden Edition (see above)
Fully functioning night vision goggles: alternating modes, MW2 branded with a sculpted head stand.

Price of the Prestige Edition was conveniently not revealed, but I confidently predict it will cost over $100.

The original Call of Duty download will be available for PSN, XBLA, and PC. It's still unknown how much, if any, of the multiplayer modes will remain.

Update: Activision confirmed the price of the Prestige Edition. It will retail for $149

Pretty much useless to me.What was Infinity Ward thinking? The art book no one ever reads unless the game is like ur life. COD1, ok I can see people playing it, and the night vision goggles?? lol If someone is willing to pay $150 for a game chances are they probably never go outside so again useless. It would have been better if they included like codes to download the best guns early in the game and an extra map or at least a shirt or something

I will just sick to the regular version I'm not going to waste 150 bucks for some night vision goggles that probably suck anyway and I won't be playing cod1 either. I just want the game for online..

they should of added in game add ons for people who buy the limited editions. Like more gun skins, golden weapon, or an extra prestige rank. $60 is all im gonna pay.
