Its pretty obvious that this rivalry will never be settled untill one of the sides have a huge advantage in sales and profit that the other will be forced to stop making the game or if NBA ever signs exclusively for one company which could be never. So I respect all Sega Gamers and I love arguing but check this article out if you have the time. It explains that the ARCADE nba jam style of Live is gone but for some reason you choose not to realize the beauty of this game probably cuz your more into graphics than the flow of the game. but live 06 should have improved graphics to let you see the light.

you guys act like ign is the god of gaming review or something. they all got their own opinions like everybody else so nothing is going to matter till you play the game yourself and make your own opinion. this year, i hope to get all 3 of the NBA games that come out to see what they all have to offer. i got both games last and thought NBA 2K5 was the better game overall.

hey chronz..that guy who wrote the article liked to play nba street and the 24/7 mode in ESPN for the last two years..now i duno bout u but thats not lookin for reaslistic gameplay..3 on 3 street battles? please....u keep continuing to say ur not tryin to say the 2k series is bad but u keep puttin out things to try to persuade us live is such a great game...i dont think u truly see the beauty of the 2k series whereas i do see the beauty of both games...if you love basketball you would love both games...im not sayin no real hoopers play LIVe but EA sports is smart and they know that they cant make money by just focusing on marketing realistic basketball to people that actually like playing basketball so they make it FUNNER (meaning non realistic with unbelievable movements) so that people that cant really hoop well play that...ESPNs movements are so much more in tact with real actions...i wish i could play live lovers that hate 2k series in NBA LIVE so i coulld whoopem and showem how easy it is to pass by a defender...just the movement alone should tell u its not realistic...the man is sliding on the court dribblin (pretending to be walkin but it just slides cuz his feet dont move) the ball like 2 times per second

Oh yeah and I would agree with IGN not being a gaming god type of thing but just look at all the major ones and Im willing to bet they all rate Live Higher. Find me one that doesnt then you got some support from the people getting paid to rate games

i don't see much sense in making a rivalry out of the competition of these 2 games. i mean, both have advantages and disadv. but i don't think you will ever be able to say: "this one's greater". anyway, there are finally two great basketball games, which i'm very pleased of...

Actually in all honesty, I can say both these games suck ass. They all have major flaws that are being addressed everyyear. Only reason I became a Live fan was becuz I didnt see ESPN getting any better just cheaper in price, while Live was making big steps forward. I hate the graphics but the motions are beautifull just look at them take jumpers its a thing of beauty that was too mechanical in 2k5
