lately all the dvd's i've been renting arent working so i have to watch them on my computer. and also I've rented a few games lately and they say disk read error also. they arent that scratched either. help???

I need the PS3 to come out soon too. My PS2 bein f***in up on me too. Most new games been freezin up n I've cleaned the head of the PS2 ova n ova. Right now, my Madden takes about 30 mins to load a game. I'ma have to clean the head, again.
To answer ur q, I think some DVD's cant play on the PS2 so it cud be that .. umm, try cleanin the head :Bang:    |

Yup this has happened to PS2 all over the world. My friends finally broke down after 4 long years of service my xbox broke in 1 year but thats from the abuse i gave it when I lost at madden. My advice is take it to your nearest game store and tlel them to clean it, Fry's charges 20 bucks and it fixed my friends completely. If there is something else wrong with it they will tell you.

probably somethin wrong with ya laser, yeah just take it to a repair shop, shouldnt cost much to fix
