for those who have watched the vids...id like to know what yull think...personally, i have live 05 and i like the look of 2k6 (especially ball handling, who sucks in live's)

ok life 06 is out, cos from the videos i personally thought it would be pretty weak(no offense to anyone), i always played live and espn. and i always thought live had a much more fun and realistic gameplay if the sliders are properly set. espn is realistic in the sense of what the player does, but in all series the dunks are killin me, marko jaric for the tomahawk over tim and manu!? i saw 2k6 and i saw that they did look into THAT plus they added some work to the crossovers, and it seem pretty limited, BUT, but, it was very realistic in terms how the crossovers are performed and used.

now live06 has this all new superstar feature which i find would be very SICK if it is under control, that is, if we are not allowed to abuse the use of it. otherwise it wouldnt be fun and competitve if amare can just throw down mad dunks and drop 50 points every game.
one thing live 06 has to improve on to be near perfect would be the crossovers, notice live hasnt changed any concept of the crossovers except for the animation, and slight changes like the spin move that i like to abuse in 05.
other that that, live06 has my vote, but espn 2k6 isnt too far behind.

My advice to you would to put up the CPU's aggressive Defense slider because if you abuse that spin move then your not playing right. I play on Superstar with some the sim sliders and It provides that sense I get when I watch real bball. You have to execute and keep turnovers to a minimum, Dont forget to put the Users fakeout discipline to like 25 or else the computer gets uncontested jumpers every time they shoot.

Back to the topic. all 3 will be interesting but in the end it all comes down to Live and Espn, ESPN has been the most selling every year , but it has declined every year since 03 and this could very well be the year Live reclaims the top spot. Or the year ESPN regains it firm grip on Ballin Sims.

NBA LIVE 2006 >> 2K6

Simply because , 2k6 is a very slow gameplay, they tried to tweak it to make it to NBA Live's pace, but it still aint right, the character models are so damn roboticly looking... Face it, nba Live runs as the smoothest basketball game on the planet.

The NBA Live features are more attracting then a Friggin 24/7 mode, or living in your house crap, who cares bout that. What the fans want is an all -star weekend online, and thats what we get...

I'm not a Live Fanbody, I had all the 2K games in the past , so believe me I am talking from experience. To answer the question , from what I've seen as in previews of both games , my pick will definetly go down to NBA LIVE... :Bang:

Live is made for fun gameplay and I choose this to play with friends and Phoenix Suns style basketball in general

ESPN NBA is much more realistic and I choose this to play dynasty mode or against the computer

Overall, I like the ESPN series better...I'm really glad the NBA didn't sell out like the NFL did and sell the rights to make video games exclusively to EA sports...it reduces the competition between these games which is what forces developers to make new features.

Live fools!!! live will always be better every year. espn is good for its modes that you can play pick up games with any players you want and its modes but for gameplay live will be better. i love dynasty mode, its all i play. i think this year will be better. AND PLEASE GOD!!!! BRING BACK THE 94-2002 KINGS JERSEYS!!!

seriously, anyone who watches gameplay videos from both live and 2k6, will for sure pick 2k6, to my friends that i've shown the 2k6 videos after live, they ALL instantly liked 2k6 more... live is just the exact same thing as last year, and live was a HORRIBLE, unrealistic and unbalanced game last year... and i honestly think the freestyle superstar actually makes the game worse, i watched one video where luke ridnour did a spin pass FOUR times in one game... how many times have we seen that in real life this season? ONCE by marbury... and in live the computer is doing behind the head passes when the receiver is literally a foot away from the passer which is just totally pointless. i saw videos where ridnour did a spin pass from the left baseline and the ball flew over all the defenders and the guy caught the ball on the right baseline... 2k6 just seems way better... the animations are much smoother, the camera angle is better and is just way more realstic overall. the players actually miss shots in 2k6... watching the live gameplay videos were just bad. you have peja hitting a 3 pointer from 30 feet out with a defender in his face because he's a "shooter" i watched so many live gameplay vids and they might've missed like, 2 shots in total... sure, if you like arcade gameplay, play live...but if people want to play a realistic basketball game, which most people probably do, 2k6 is the game to get this year.

I say live by a mile. I've played 2k before and i absolutly hated it. It didnt seem realistic to me and i hated the gameplay. Live is so much funner IMO

thats y they give u the option if u want the game slow,normal,fast
