Madden 2005 vs Madden 2006

Ive been buying each Madden series on PS2 since 2001 and since prices for 06 have gone down, Im wondering if itd be a good idea to trade in my 05 and buy the 06. Can somebody who has both tell me whether there were vast improvements in 06? 05 is already pretty damn good and I can still play it for a while, so 06 isnt absolutely must have unless its really great.

BTW, I wont be buying 360 or PS3 anytime soon so yall dont need to point out that its coming out on those consoles too

i love the superstar mode in 06..thats definitely worth it..and then there is the new QB vision..of course u hav to get used to it first and ure throwing interceptions like crazy at first, but after it kinda makes it more interesting..

I wouldn't because the trade in values for old sports games suck, it will probably only get you 5 or 10 dollars.

Yeah I know, but its better than nothing. I think I can probably get Madden for about $30, if I traded in 05 and got a few bucks back then its like I got 06 for just $25.

my 2 cents:

i have played and bought every madden on ps2 and althought 2006 had the potential to be the best it defintely took me the longest to get into. i love it now though, and to me it was def. worth the money. But that of course was at that time, now since Basketball season has rolled around am into NBA 2k6 which is awesome. Madden 2005 was fun but 2006 is even better, becasue it goes in depth and all the features are polished inculding a new one where you create a rookie and bring him to stardom in the NFL. i defintely wasted hours of my night and day playing madden. If you have online it shouldnt be a question, def buy it. SO basically if your still into football during this time i say buy it, if not get a basketball game if you havent already.

Thanks for the info, I think if I see 06 somewhere around $30 Id probably pick it up. Actually Ive never gotten as addicted to basketball games as I am football/baseball. It seems like when mid-season comes around for NFL or MLB, Ill start getting into the games because Im watching them so often. But when NBA rolls around and I watch, I just want to go out and play. I get so much basketball I guess video games is my break. :Big Smile
