Ok im doing dynasty mode and I need help on trading players. When I go to the trading players screen I get a message that says:
When trading players above the salary cap the total dollar value for each team must be within 25%, plus or minus 100k.
What does this mean? I dont understand it one bit. I get rejected trades all the time because teams say that they are above the salary cap. Can someone explain this to me or give me some example of how this works. I will give karma if I can. Thanks.
I don't let haters prosper, I let them help me prosper.
that's the one thing i hate with nba live, if you do not have any cap space, its IMPOSSIBLE to do any trades. they have to improve some programming on that, maybe add some provision on luxury taxes or something...
It's because the NBA has a soft salaray cap. They don't want teams to be able to trade a minimum contract player for a max contract player. You need to match up the salaries before trading with a team that's over the cap.
You guys need some management skills, its not hard if you just put some effort into it instead of tryin to make ridiculous trades.
I can get any trade done but it usually takes 2-4 trades to get the player I initially wanted.
If you want some help just tell me whos on your team and Ill show you how Its done.
Or if you want to get under the cap so you can trade for anyone, just look at your contracts if you see any player thats overpaid like if hes rated 70-below but makes +6Million hes gotta go. Trade any of your bad salarys to a team like Charlotte or Atlanta and take in some of there cap friendly players.

You just got to match up the money so that it is close to equal. The 250k thing means that you can go up or down 250k when trading if both teams dont have money. Just match up the money and it will work.
the overall salary must be equal, i have a player with 10mil and i want to take one with 5
then i have to give another one who has 2 mil and take one with 7
that is the point of 25 percent, so it doesnt have to be EXACTLY
