how can i play online in ps2? what should i do to make it work?

u need a adapter from sony that allows u to play online, u need a broadband connection though

Although I don't have a PS2, I think the minimum (recommended) speed is a 512k connection.

I tried to set it up recently. First, go to playstation.com and sign up to the onlione gaming thing (free). Then reigster your playstation (if you have one of those thin ones) or your network adapter (if you have an older ps2). They will send you the network disc.

Plug in the network cable to the ps2 and put the disc in. Word of warning: I did this bit before I got a PIN number (which is sent seperately). It gave me 20 days to put in my PIN, but that ran out (i still dont have the pin yet after 3 weeks), so I think my account is locked out. Basically, I'm saying wait till you got a disc, network connection and PIN before connecting up.
