Device Hook Tutorial

Ok I'm not just gonna hand this to you the easy way, but I am gonna give it to you step-by-step so that you can actually learn something. The first thing you need to do is grab my tutorial file pack at the bottom. It contains 2 Eboots US(2.0 & 2.5), PBP Unpacking Tool, & DevHook V0.41. If you have an EU or JAP PSP you might have to get EU or JAP eboots. I'm really not sure on this. After you have that you should be set. Now to the fun part.

1. Extract the Tutorial Rar to your desktop or put it in a folder you can access easily. You should have 4 folders.

2. Go to PBP Unpacker folder and run setup. It will install PBP Unpacker. Once its installed Run it.

3. Go to open and find the 2.0 eboot folder and select the EBOOT.PBP inside of it. A list of 4 files should show up. Go to the file called DATA.PSAR and right click and extract it to your the 2.0 eboot folder. Do the same thing for the 2.5 placing the Data.PSAR in the 2.5 eboot folder.

4. Now go to the Device Hook folder and extract the files to the root of your memory stick and hit yes to overwrite. You should be doing a clean install. That means delete the dh folder if you already have it. If you don't it could cause problems.

5.Once thats done go to the 2.0 eboot folder and copy the data.psar to the root of your memory stick. Go to games and run the firmware installer. Hit circle I think. After that it will ask if you wanna install flash1. You don't need to so hit x. Now do the same thing for the 2.5 data.psar. Copy it to the root of ms and run the installer. Do not copy flash1 .

5a (If you want WIFI for now - SKIP if not!). If you want to use the wifi you need to use 2.5+2.0 firmware. Go to your memory stick and go the the DH folder. Inside you should see a bunch of different folders. You want 200 & 250. Go to the 200 folder and right click on reboot.bin and click copy. Go to 250 and paste it there.

6. Now all you need to do is put your iso in the normal iso folder on root of ms. Go to game and run device hook. Set your settings as follows UMD Select -> What ever game you want, UMDMount AnyISO, UMD Version 2.xx -> 2.00, Firmware 2.50+2.00, CPU Clock 222mhz/111mhz if you want wifi (333mz/166mhz does not allow wifi), and boot select as Reboot XMB.

7. There you go. If there are any further questions as long as they are good I will answer them .
