XBox 360: 3 Flashing Red Lights of Death - MixMakers.net

M2ers, My xbox has died. I know some of you have heard of the dreaded 3 flashing red lights of death. For those of you who don't know what this is, It is when you turn on your Xbox and the screen just dies on you and you see these 3 red lights flashing on the ring on light on your console where it is supposed to be green. Only the upper right hand corner(when you have the Xbox flat on the ground) does not flash red.

Well last night, it happend to me. I had heard about this before, but these were mostly from the first shipment of Xbox360. I got mine in March, My XBOX lasted for only 3 months! 3 f**kin months!:Bang Head Damn, I hardly even used it. All in all, I probably used it for only a total of 10 hours between Tomb Raider and NBA Live. I still have my PS2 and I still play that more because of the wider selection of games. Man, I checked all the Xbox forums, and the last I read someone getting the Lights of Death was back in Feb. You figured Microsoft would at least fix them for the second and third shipments and so forth.

So I called Xbox today, Man talk abouy no sympathy at all. I spoke to a guy who I could hardly understand and who could've cared less about my problem. He acted like if this was big news "Like, wow, it did That?! Come one man. He was like a robot, just taking info. When he got to the troubleshooting part, I didn't even let him start. Since I did some research online, I did all the things that everyone did; clean cables, unplug them, check if they were in coorectly, etc. I told him just send my my damn shipping box ASAP so you guys can fix this Shiet.

I Wanna from you guys who have a 360, if this has happend to you. If it did happen and you sent it back to Microsoft, how long did it take and if you had to pay anything. On the Xbox forum I heard that a lot of people had new ones in return because the old on could not get fixed. Man The PS3 is looking better and better everday. Holla back:goingcraz

Mine has been doing it since the night I got it on January 1st of this year.. I just mess with it long enough then it starts to work.. For awhile (like probably a whole month) it didn't do it at all, but recently it did it again.. I don't really care, as long as it keeps working, no matter how much I have to mess with it to get it to turn on..

Feel bad for ya man.. Hope you can get it all worked out by either getting it fixed or buying a new one..

3 months? it should still be under warranty rite? take it back to the place u bought it from and get a refund or a new console

It mus have warantiy so get back to the store where you got it. That's the best advise you can get as DnG already said. They must give you a new one for sure and it won't cost you anything. The retailer where you bought it will then have to mess around with Microsoft.

haha, the reason i refused to get a 360. im just gonna wait till ps3. but hopefully prices on it arent unbelivable on it...........

sh*t man dat realli suks ballz fo u. u spent lik at most 600 on a 360 n it dies on u in 3 months n microsoft dun even giv a sh*t. man i feel bad fo ya. man my 360 game burnt out or sumthin lik dat n i went crazy. cant imagine how u feel bout ure 360.
