Someone teach me how to blow...

Does anyone here know how to do Phil Jackson's whistle whereby he puts his fingers in his mouth?

If so, care to share?

Phil does it with his thumb and index right? I can only do it with 4 fingers, my index and middle finger of both hands. The trick is to bend your tongue backwards but I don't often do it cos its seriously unhygienic.

Well I use my index and middle fingers of both hands to hold my tongue back, so 4 fingers in total are in my mouth. With your tongue bent backwards their should be a little gap at the top so some air can get through, then I just blow. You probably shouldn't blow too hard at first, just enough to get sound so you can get used to it.

I can whistle however you want to, with as many fingers as you like or without any fingers at all. I'd practiced my whistling back in middle school and I had learned every trick in the book. I don't really know how to teach you how though since I couldn't do that with my friends up in close so I doubt that could happen through the internet.

is it immature of me if i find the thread title funny?

i could never whistle with any fingers and i can hardly whistle normally, i can suck whistle though
