Destroyed in the 1990 NCAA Championship by UNLV (103 to 73), the
Duke Blue Devils were on a mission in 1991 and were decided to give coach K his first ever NCAA championship. Led by
Christian Laettner (best scorer in the history of the tournament),
Bobby Hurley,
Grant Hill and some great role players, they reached the Final Four with great confidence, beating the opposition by an average of more than 18 points per game, until their clash with Larry Johnson's Runnin' Rebels in the semis. After beating
UNLV (Johnson, Stacey Augmon, Greg Anthony, Anderson Hunt), Duke took on the
Kansas Jayhawks in the championship game. Kansas had just beaten
North Carolina (Rick Fox, Hubert Davis, Pete Chilcutt, Eric Montross, George Lynch) in the semis. Kansas was coached by Roy Williams (current North Carolina coach) and featured Adonis Jordan and Mark Randall.
Boxscore
The game is full and in english. Quality is good given the age of the VHS. It's not a DVDrip, so don't expect DVD quality. I've added screenshots for those who are interested. The first half is 43 minutes long and 429 Mb, the second half is 46 minutes long and 459 Mb. Both files are XviD, 512x384. I did the caping and the encoding myself, that's why I put the links in an attachment file. Those of you who don't have enough points, feel free to contact me. Links are SendSpace.
By the way, 1987 and 1993 NCAA Championships are next... :Bang:
