Problems uploading videos to youtube

So I have a 7 minute video, wmv format and around 300mb so it should be okay to upload to youtube but every time i try to, it starts and after about 20% or so, my router cuts out and stops the upload. This is really pissing me off seen as I uploaded a video just the other day, can anyone help me out?

Only thing I can think of is to make the video smaller.
