He even did the unthinkable and took a hometown discount to play for the Reds. We wouldn't be talking about Bonds right now if Griffey would have stayed healthy. Bonds would just be a note in history.

I never thought Griffey Jr was a steroid boy. Mark Grace, Junior, Barry Larkin... these guys were special. Junior deserves more credit. He would have been given more credit if it wasn't for the steroids era.

Griffey is one of my favorite players; its definitely special that he got 600 cleanly; just a shame with the injuries he is a HOF
