Re: SR's MLB All Star Picks

Whoa whoa whoa, no Cubs? And 4 Rangers seems a bit high.

It's too bad that they get in on fan votes anyways and not actual performance.

Re: SR's MLB All Star Picks

I'm a huge Cubs fan, but IMO nobody is worth starting for NL. Wood is a good choice for closer though. As for the bench, I can see Soto, Lee, and Ramirez representing the Cubs. Hamilton, Kinsler, and Young all deserve it. Bradley might be pushing it.

True..it's a shame that it's a popularity contest. Instead of Young probably starting, it will be Jeter, lmao. My picks were based on only STATS.

Re: SR's MLB All Star Picks

Actual All-Star Picks

NL
C-Soto-Cubs. I'm not mad even though I chose McCann. You can't go wrong with a Cubbie, lol..considering he's only a rookie, he's pretty damn good.
1b-Correct
2b-Correct
SS-Correct
3b-Correct
CF/RF-Fukudome/Soriano-Nothing wrong with selecting Cubbies, haha. That's what star power can do for you.

AL
C-Correct
1b-Correct
2b-Pedroia? Now I'm pissed... Kinsler should have started.
SS-JETER=OVERRATED. It should have been Young.
3b-Correct.
OF/OF-Correct
OF-Ichiro? Again, that's what star power can do for you. It's debate-able with Bradley since Bradley hasn't been the same since early June.

Re: SR's MLB All Star Picks

I don't really have a problem with any of them except Pedroia...Kinsler easily deserved it and if not him Brian Roberts should have. Jeter is having a sub par season to his standards so I'll admit Young should start there. However there isn't a AL shortstop that really deserves it this year so it can go either way. What also shocked me is how Tejada and Guzman got NL reserves as shortstops but Reyes didn't. I'm also surprised as how Carlos Lee and David Wright didn't get in, even though 1 can still make it since they are 2 of the 5 that can still get voted in.

Re: SR's MLB All Star Picks

I would start Mariano Rivera, considering its the last all star game ever at Yankee Stadium and he's only going to pitch an inning anyway, it be pretty cash
