The Rays for real?

Do you guys think the Rays can continue this success after the all star break. I think they can. Kazmir is a great pitcher. Longoria has been a stud this year. and Garza has been great lately. They have a ton of talent and look to be having a ton of fun playing baseball.

I was just about to make a thread similar to this, but I can't believe the Rays are doing so well right now. They swept the Cubs a while ago and the Red Sox again. It's pretty impressive. I think they can keep this up if the pitching is decent for the rest of the season. Kasmir/Garza have been fantastic so far. I hope the Rays win the AL East. It's so unexpected and I have to go with the underdogs. They have potential. A solid young ball club to say the least.

I think they will, although I don't know what it will amount to in the postseason.

I'm sure most of us saw this coming, all the nice young players they have picked up over the last 5-6 years are finally ready to play.

I see them fading a little after the allstar break but I still see them making the playoffs somehow. Yankees always go on a tear after the allstar break so if that happens it will be a real interesting race between the Yanks, Sox, and Rays.

Yes the Ray's are for real, they will go deep in the playoffs no doubt.

No. Obviously, the Tampa Rays will find a way to lose 25 games in a row and miss the playoffs. There no better than the Mets of a year ago.

After that magical year the Tigers had a few years back I am very slow to count a surprise team out of contention

yeh the rays finally got it together. i've always been a fan of Kazmir

but it will be tough holding off the sox and yanks
