Damn with all the problems the Angels have had they are only like 1 or 2 games out of first in their division. Once Lackey, Santana, and Vlad get back they will move to the top and blow everyone out of the water like last year.

Palmer has been pitching awesome for 5 or so innings now and the Angels are looking pretty comfortable right now to get the win against the red sox

Palmer is quite a story, he was in the minor leagues for a long long time, now he's 30 years old and finally given the chance to start in the big leagues and so far he's gone 4-0 with a 3.38 ERA this season with the Angels. . You can't help but root for this guy. He's been a nice surprise for our team

Santana has lost about 4 miles an hour on his fastball, and keeps on getting rocked just about every start. I wonder how this will turn out for him. He's been absolute trash his last two starts

yeh Santana has only one good start all year, very dissapointing...

looks like Scott Shields is out for the rest of the season..we need some bullpen help via trade

Santana back on the DL...

ANAHEIM, Calif. -- The Los Angeles Angels placed right-hander Ervin Santana on the 15-day disabled list and recalled right-hander Sean O'Sullivan from Triple-A Salt Lake.

O'Sullivan will start Tuesday night against Colorado.
How many more injuries to our pitchers are going to happen!?!?

All things considered it's amazing the angels are only 1GB of division leader Texas

Angels sweep D-Backs move to Top of AL West

This team has really had a great month of June, hopefully the great play continues into the series vs. Texas

Vlad homers in Angels 9-6 win over Orioles

Second straight game with homerun..Is the Vlad that we know and love back?!

We take 3 of 4 vs. Baltimore. Now Texas again this time at home..
Mon, Jul 6 10:05 pm EDT J. Weaver vs. K. Millwood
Tue, Jul 7 10:05 pm EDT J. Lackey vs. D. Nippert
Wed, Jul 8 10:05 pm EDT E. Santana vs. T. Hunter

Texas took the last series from us so we need to get some payback

IF Angels get Halladay, they will win their division. Halladay is a BEAST!

Quote:
Angels Have Asked About Halladay
8th July, 2009 - 8:27 am
Los Angeles Times - The Angels, who have been looking to add pitching for a majority of the season, have inquired about Roy Halladay.

"Tony has talked to a lot of clubs, and he's talked to Toronto," Angels manager Mike Scioscia said, referring to general manager Tony Reagins. "Obviously, [Halladay] is a name that piques the interest of everyone in baseball."

Halladay is 10-2 with a 2.79 earned-run average and 98 strikeouts in 116 innings.

"If they're shopping Roy Halladay, everybody and their momma is going to be after him," Angels center fielder Torii Hunter said. "He's the guy I'd build a rotation around.

"He's smart. He hits his spots. He goes deep into games. He's a bulldog. When the pressure is on, he's at his best. He's everything you'd want in a starting pitcher."

if we could add a guy like Halladay than teams would fear playing us

i don't know if it will happen but if it does i'll be really excited

Santana drops to 1-5 after loss to Rangers

Santana's #'s on the year: 1-5, 7.81 ERA, 1.91 WHIP

"He's healthy," manager Mike Scioscia said. "I'm sure he's not totally in sync. I'm sure he doesn't feel like he's where he was when he was at his peak performance last year. Pitchers go through stretches like that. But you have to find a way to win."

Hopefully he comes around in the 2nd half of the season

Angels head into all-star break with 1.5 game lead on division

Fuentes has done a great job closing out ballgames so far - 26 saves in 29 opps

Hunter leads the team with 17 homeruns and 65 RBI's at the break

Dammit why do the Angels own the Yankees they always have...Losing 3 right before the break kind of hurts.

I don't know if we really own you guys, I believe you won the first series against us this year.

If there is a team that has owned us this season it is Texas, funny thing is we are still ahead of them in the standings
